Nidra Shakti: The Power of Deep Rest + Sound Healing

  • Soma Yoga 7 Crawford Street Dunedin, Otago Region, 9016 New Zealand (map)

90 Min Session | Exchange: $44 | Please byo cosy things

You are warmly welcomed into Nidra Shakti - a whole person journey into deep rest, balance, and inner restoration.

Yoga Nidra (योग निद्रा) is a guided practice of conscious relaxation, gently leading you into the liminal space between waking and sleeping - the hypnagogic state. In this state, the body can deeply rest and repair, while the mind softens into the Alpha and Theta brainwave states associated with healing and neuroplasticity.

This is where profound shifts can occur.

Yoga Nidra has been shown to support greater balance between the hemispheres of the brain, while nourishing the nervous system and endocrine (hormonal) system. Through this practice, we are also able to work with Sankalpa - a heartfelt intention - allowing space for meaningful integration and inner change.

We will begin together in a circle, gently arriving and setting our Sankalpa, before settling into stillness. You’ll be guided to lie down in a warm, supported nest of cushions and blankets, allowing the body to fully let go.

Jasmin will guide you into deep rest, accompanied by the soothing vibrations of crystal bowls and other instruments, weaving sound into the journey.

Yoga Nidra is both deeply restorative and accessible to all - no experience is needed.

There is great power in deep rest. For some, this experience can feel like a full reset or quiet rebirth; for others, a gentle and nourishing return to self. However your journey unfolds, you will be held and supported throughout.

All are welcome.
Bring a blanket, pillow / something cosy, and allow yourself to receive.
