Soma Healing Journeys offer a gentle yet profound pathway for releasing trauma, chronic stress, and deeply held tension from the body and nervous system.
Drawing on 18 years of experience teaching yoga, somatics, trauma-informed healing and transformational programs, these journeys weave together Soma Yoga, breathwork, somatic movement, nervous system education, self reflection practices, and Self-Induced Therapeutic Tremors (SITT) - the body's innate shaking response that can support the release of stored stress and survival patterns.
Trauma, overwhelm and prolonged stress are not only held in our memories; they are often carried in our muscles, connective tissue, nervous system, emotions and unconscious behavioural patterns. While we may understand our experiences intellectually, the body can continue to hold the imprint of what it has lived through.
Through a carefully guided and trauma-skilled process, participants are supported to gently lengthen and soften areas of residual tension, tapping into the body's natural tremor mechanism. This therapeutic shaking response can help discharge accumulated stress, restore nervous system balance, and reconnect us with our innate capacity for healing, regulation and resilience.
Alongside the physical practices, each journey includes practical education about trauma, stress and recovery, opportunities for self-inquiry and journalling, and the healing power of whakawhanaungatanga - meaningful connection and shared experience within a supportive group environment.
All practices can be adapted for different bodies, abilities and life experiences. No previous yoga, somatic or healing experience is required.
Whether you are navigating the impacts of trauma, chronic stress, anxiety, grief, burnout, chronic pain, difficult life experiences, or simply feeling disconnected from yourself, Soma Healing Journeys offer a safe and supportive space to reconnect with your body and its natural healing intelligence.
These journeys may support those experiencing symptoms associated with PTSD, CPTSD, anxiety, depression, chronic stress, chronic pain, grief, birth trauma, medical trauma, injury, abuse, assault, first responder experiences, body shame, sexual shame, dissociation, and other experiences that have impacted the nervous system.
Participants often report feeling more grounded, regulated, connected, spacious and at ease within themselves. As layers of tension gradually unwind, many discover a greater sense of freedom in their bodies, more emotional capacity, improved resilience, and a renewed connection to peace, curiosity, vitality and joy.
Soma Healing Journeys can be undertaken as a standalone healing process or as part of a wider therapeutic and wellbeing journey alongside other supportive modalities.
Group Soma Healing Journeys begin with an 8-session foundation programme, with longer-term support recommended for some individuals depending on their goals and experiences.
What are Self-Induced Therapeutic Tremors (SITT)?
Self-Induced Therapeutic Tremors (SITT) are the body's natural therapeutic shaking response - an innate reflex mechanism that humans and animals alike use to release stress and restore balance following challenging experiences.
When activated in a safe and supported environment, this gentle shaking or vibrating response can help release deep patterns of muscular tension and nervous system activation. The process often begins in the legs and pelvis and may gradually spread through other areas of the body as tension unwinds.
SITT-based approaches are increasingly recognised around the world as a powerful complement to trauma recovery, stress reduction and nervous system regulation. Rather than requiring participants to relive or verbally process difficult experiences, the body is invited to complete and release patterns that may have remained unresolved.
At the heart of this work is a simple but profound understanding: the body already knows how to heal. Sometimes it simply needs the right space, support and safety to do so.

Soma Healing Journey 2: Women’s Weekend Immersion
Soma Healing Journey Level 2 is a women’s weekend immersion for graduates of Level 1, designed to deepen awareness of the patterns that shape how we relate to ourselves and others. Through trauma-informed somatic practices, neuroeducation, breathwork, journalling, and group process, participants explore themes while developing greater self-awareness, embodied boundaries, emotional resilience, and self-trust.

If I feel I am not the best person to help you, at the time of your booking or our first meeting, I will recommend someone better suited.
1:1 Journeys:
Journeys are valid for a maximum of 8 months to allow for rescheduling when needed. Sessions should be booked at 1 - 2 week intervals.
1:1 Journey cancellation requests made up to 24 hours prior to the first session’s booking, will be offered a full refund minus a 5% cancellation fee, or a reschedule.
Rescheduling is available for any session, up to 24 hours prior to the session.
Sessions cancelled within 24 hours of the booked time will be charged at full price.
