Yoga for Beginners: Foundations Course

If you’ve been wanting to begin (or return to) yoga, this is a supportive and structured place to start.

This 8 week progressive course is designed to help you build confidence, understanding and connection with your body - step by step.

Over the 8 weeks, you’ll be guided through:

  • Functional breathing and nervous system regulation

  • Foundational movement patterns and alignment

  • Yoga postures and accessible variations

  • Simple, flowing sequences

  • Deep rest and relaxation practices

Alongside the physical practice, you’ll also be introduced to the underlying principles of yoga - including relevant anatomy, philosophy and the “why” behind what we do.

More than just a beginner class

This course has been refined over nearly two decades of teaching, supporting hundreds of students to move from feeling unsure or disconnected…to feeling stronger, more at ease, and more at home in their bodies.

It’s not about “getting it right” - it’s about learning how to listen, respond, and build a practice that works for you.

A supportive environment to learn

Classes are welcoming, down-to-earth and intentionally paced, with plenty of guidance and space to ask questions.

You’ll also receive a course workbook to support your learning and integration between sessions.

This course is suitable once you are beyond the acute phase of injury or post-surgery recovery (typically 6–8 weeks). If unsure, please check with your healthcare provider.


Terms & Conditions

  • Cancellations made up to 7 days prior to the term start date will be offered a refund minus 20% booking fee, or full transfer to the next term.

  • Cancellations made after 7 days prior to the term start date will be offered 80% transfer to the next term.

  • No cancellations or transfers within 3 days of the term start date, or after the term has started.

  • All practice is done at your own risk, please ensure you do not push yourself, especially if you feel pain.

  • Please stay home if you are unwell.
